About

Shruti is a 3rd-year PhD candidate in cancer biology studying brain metastases and the tumor microenvironment in triple-negative breast cancer, using unrivaled spatial technologies to understand how cancer and immune cells communicate within tissue. Her background in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences grounds her research in a translational relevance, particularly by generating molecular insights to guide targeted therapies for metastatic cancer. Her work sits at the intersection of rigorous bench science and clinical impact, with a long-term focus on tumor immunology and targeted immunotherapeutic interventions.
Outside the lab, she recharges by traveling and exploring new cities with her family and close friends. She love exploring local food, cafes, hidden gems, museums, and anything near the water. You’ll also find her running, cycling, cafe-hopping (matcha obligatory), or curled up in a cafe or at home with a good book.
