Abstract
Our lab is developing an innovative NK cell-based immunotherapy for HER2-low breast cancer, a common and clinically challenging subtype with limited targeted treatment options. We generate surface-engineered NK cells armed with Trastuzumab (SE-NK/Tz) through a rapid, non-genetic approach that redirects NK cells toward HER2-low tumor cells and enhances anti-tumor activity. By studying these engineered cells in human and murine HER2- low models, including advanced 3D tumor systems, we aim to define their therapeutic potential, tumor selectivity, and mechanism of action. This work is driven by the goal of creating more effective, safer, and potentially more accessible immunotherapy for patients with HER2-low breast cancer.
